Coding Mastery
Skill Samurai offers multiple pathways. Our Way of the Hero offers a clear progression based on each coder’s age, experience, and interests. Our goal is mastery of coding skills.
Students can switch between pathways when they complete a course, e.g moving from Minecraft modding to Python.
Each pathway offers one or more courses at each of the three levels - Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced.
With each level, students gain proficiency in more advanced programming concepts and learn how to design and build more complex projects. Levels are taught in age and experience-appropriate development environments, from Scratch to professional languages, such as Python or Java.
In every class, your child will practice their coding ability, along with various STEM activities and games that enhance their knowledge in a fun and rewarding way. If you’re an advocate for your child to become a builder of the future, this is the best program to enroll them in.

FOUNDATION
Ages 6+
Covering key concepts such as events, loops, conditionals, variables, and randomization, we build a series of projects that teach kids how to develop their own 3D games in Roblox. Students will build awesome games including Obstacle Courses, Adventure Maps, and games like Prson Break
Upon completion of Foundation 1 Core, students will be ready for Roblox 1 Core.
CORE A
Ages 8+
Covering key concepts such as events, loops, Cartesian coordinates, conditionals, variables, and randomization, we build a series of projects that teach kids how to build their own games and apps in Python using IDLE.
Upon completion of Python 1 Core, students will be ready for Python 2 Core.
CORE A
Ages 10+
Diving deeper into key coding concepts such as mathematical operators, functions, and complex loops we start to solve problems independently within the platform.
Python 3 introduces more complex games and projects, including multiplayer client server programming.
Upon completion of Python 3 Core, students will be ready for other Skill Samurai Core Curriculum tracks or Electives.
CORE B
Ages 8+
Covering key concepts such as events, loops, conditionals, variables, and randomization, we build a series of projects that teach kids how to develop their own 3D games in Roblox. Students will build awesome games including Obstacle Courses, Adventure Maps, and a Pet Sim.
Upon completion of Roblox 1 Core, students will be ready for Roblox 2 Core.
CORE B
Ages 9+
Diving deeper into key coding concepts such as complex conditionals, loops, variables, inheritance, and recursion, students begin to become more independent with Lua. Students will build awesome games including Racing maps, Dodgeball Game, and an Infinite Runner!
Upon completion of Roblox 2 Core, students will be ready for Roblox 3 Core.
CORE B
Ages 10+
Building upon the foundation learnt, students will take on more complex software development projects, building awesome games including a Fortnite-style battle royale, a Tycoon game, a Mining and a Speed simulator! We will also have the chance to dive into Roblox game Monetization.
Upon completion of Roblox 3 Core, students will be ready for other Skill Samurai Core Curriculum tracks or Electives.
CORE С
Ages 8+
Covering key concepts such as variables, loops, and conditionals, we build a series of projects that teach kids how to build their own mods using Java. Students will build a number of exciting mods including swords, blocks, ore, and biomes.
Upon completion of Minecraft 1 Core, students will be ready for Minecraft 2 Core.
CORE С
Ages 9+
Diving deeper into key coding concepts like loops, inheritance, and randomization, students begin to become more independent with Java and Eclipse. Students will build exciting mods like lucky blocks, magic armor, custom biomes, and epic weapons.
Upon completion of Minecraft 2 Core, students will be ready for Minecraft 3 Core.
CORE С
Ages 10+
Minecraft 3 introduces more complex games and projects, accumulating all of the concepts we’ve covered up until now. Students will build exciting mods like grenades, infinite items, mobs with artificial intelligence, and rideable Ender Dragons.
Upon completion of Minecraft 3 Core, students will be ready for other Skill Samurai Core Curriculum tracks or Electives.

ADVANCED PYTHON
Ages 12+
In this follow up to our Python Core Curriculum, we will dive into using Python for the creation of AI and Machine Learning!
Upon completion of Advanced Python, students will be ready for other Skill Samurai Core Curriculum tracks or Career Readiness Education.

WEB DEVELOPMENT
Ages 10+
Here we provide the basics of building your own website from the ground up. This project can be combined with the later Javascript Elective to post custom web games on a custom website.
Upon completion of Web Development, students will be ready for other Skill Samurai Core Curriculum tracks or Career Readiness Education.

3D GAME DEV WITH UNITY
Ages 12+
3D Game Development delves into game making with the professional tool used by the pros to make best-selling games for major platforms.

YouTube Channel Creation
Ages 12+
Our YouTube course is for kids who want to learn how to create an awesome YouTube channel. This course will give them the skills to create engaging videos. Kids will learn how to write scripts and storyboards, and how to create a brand that builds fan engagement. They’ll also develop production skills and discover the ways they can make money with their own YouTube channel!
ELECTIVE E
ROBOTICS
Ages 10+
Skill Samurai's VEX Robotics curriculum guides students through the robotics build and competition process so that kids can experience the joy and fun of robotics while learning programming and engineering concepts. VEX is an ideal platform for students to explore important STEM fundamentals and computer science concepts, and as such, students will engage in a series of fun challenges that put their skills to the test.
ELECTIVE F
MACHINE LEARNING
Ages 10+
In this course on artificial intelligence and machine learning, students will learn how to create training programs for computers. This is the perfect platform to learn AI and Machine Learning in a fun interactive class.
